   The Internet's Poet Cooperative was founded in August of 2001 as a simple spark in an electronic renaissance. Our dream is to do for poetry what MP3's have done for music. That is, we hope to develop a new way to bring the poet and reader closer together through the power of the Internet. We honor the history of the Internet in our belief that art and ideas should be available to anyone interested at little or no cost. We also feel that if art enriches the reader, the reader will desire to reward the artist. In the end, we all are richer for our efforts.
