Constance
Black has produced four books of poetry, the first a collection
of the work of her sister Prudence Barry, her daughter Melanie
Black and herself. These were all published by her own
press, Fire & Light Press. Long associated with the
Provincetown
Art Colony, she has been a productive visual artist
for many years where she has exhibited extensively. She
is also a member of the Pen & Brush, Inc. in New York City. Over
twenty five years ago she helped to found the Provincetown
Theatre Workshop with her husband Carl. The company started with
an original play by the author. She has also written children's
stories and short stories.
