  • The MAC SPA & ART PIMP PRODUCTIONS presents “The Long Conversation”  Paintings and Poetry group art show. April 2nd  through 29th 2011 at The MacSpa 1738 Wynkoop, Suite 103 Denver, CO 80202.
  • “The Long Conversation”  Paintings and Poetry  -  Public Reception will be on Thursday , April 7th, 6 - 9pm.  All artists will be present during the reception on April 7th.   Besides the artwork on display we will also be showing videos of the artists performing their poems.) All the featured artists in “the Long Conversation”  are poets/painters or photographers.  Artists include Janet Glovinsky, M.D. Friedman, Rosanne Sterne, and Kyle Banister.
  • April is Poetry month and “The Long Conversation” is a small art show inspired by poet, artist, and gallery owner Janet Glovinsky and will focus on the age old relationship of  poetry and painting.  (Janet Glovinsky is also April’s featured poet for Denver Art Talk)
  • "Painting is silent poetry, and poetry painting that speaks."- Attributed to Simonides by Plutarch in his De Gloria Atheniensium.
  • As part of the on going MacSpa First Thursday Reception tradition, Curator Eric Matelski will be on hand, grilling up fresh treats and serving up artistic wit.
  • This grilled menu will stuff you: Chorizo Stuffed Peppers, Turkish Stuffed Eggplant, Caprese  Stuffed Mushrooms & Blueberry Stuffed Peaches!

• M. D. is now a Featured Artist at the PODdigital Gallery where you can order selected prints on Canvas as well as on Photographic or Watercolor paper.   (All prints are high resolution giclee prints of the highest quality and are available in a variety of sizes).

• You can still order selected prints from American Frame or use their "virtual frame shop" to create your own custom framed piece that is a perfect match for your home.
